The Big Bold Goals Leadership Experience

““An amazing, inspiring experience for 42 members of our leadership team that left them fired up to really deliver big goals”

— Robert Brien, COO Kloeckner Metals

Are you looking to improve your business and tackle your Big Bold Goals, and want to bring in fresh thought-provoking thinking to inspire your team?

Do you want to become a more agile and resilient organisation that can adapt and change to an increasingly disrupted world?

The Big Bold Goals Leadership Experience has been designed to stretch, challenge and develop leaders thinking.

It’s an experience that builds trust, and understanding and is a very powerful team bonding experience.

We aim to deliver a transformational experience that will set your team up for success.

Each experience is created specifically based on the challenges that your organisation needs to tackle.

In consultation with Caspar and his team, we will design an experience drawing on the 20 principles needed to achieve Big Bold Goals, the types of goals that most other people dismiss as being impossible.

The 20 principles are detailed in Caspar’s most recent book, The Big Bold Mindset® - Rethinking the Rules of Leadership.

The core tenet is that in a world of exponential change, relying on what you have done before will not be sufficient to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Or as Caspar likes to put it:

“You can’t navigate a new world using an old set of charts”

Big Bold Goals Leadership Experience: 1/2 Day

“Truly inspiring! The audience was captivated throughout. Post conference feedback showed it was ranked the best session of the two days. The teams are still positively referencing it to this day!

— Michelle Curtis - Head of Internal Communications - Thales

What’s involved?

A half-day session of experiential blended learning for leaders and staff who have ambitious plans to succeed in today’s world of fast change and continuous innovation.  Leaders who are looking to increase the resilience, engagement, and focus of their teams, to manage the pressure and stress on everyday performance, and improve productivity.

If you’re inspired to make change, determined to re-think the meaning of leadership, and committed to empowering your teams - then we can help.

How?

The Big Bold Goals Experience combines three core components in a series of short keynote talks to set the scene, which are then followed by participant interactive sessions to reinforce the messaging from each talk.

Session 1

This session involves deep listening.  Deep listening is a tool designed with a very specific purpose to create a fresh story of the future between two or more people. It challenges you to ask questions that are anchored in feelings, such as ‘What would make you proud if we could achieve it together?’

The activity involves answering the question one at a time and sharing answers while the other person just listens.  They then repeat back what they have heard and check if they have heard correctly.  Invariably new ideas, edits, and additional explanations arise.

Where the Magic Happens – this is where you discover what you share in common.  It is much easier to build on aligned and shared beliefs to create something that doesn’t yet exist, new goals.

Developing a Big Bold Mindset is priceless - you create a shared goal together to shape the future of where you are going as a team.

Session 2

The next session involves ‘being more resilient’. Leaders who work in high-trust workplaces show vulnerability and ask for help from colleagues rather than demand it.

In this session, you learn about being vulnerable and how to build higher levels of trust amongst your teams where communication is open and honest.  A culture of trust enables teams to collaborate effectively, be open to new ideas, embrace change, and contribute innovative solutions to challenges.

Session 3

The final session is about ‘putting people first’.  Leadership is not a title, it’s a mindset.  It’s about how you look after those around you and about how you show up. The Big Bold Mindset is about igniting the passion in people around you.

This session involves a Superpower activity.  Have your team ever had conversations to create a shared understanding of each person’s unique brilliance?  In this activity, you will ask colleagues what they see as your unique capability and receive personal feedback.  By looking for a common theme in these comments, a golden thread will pull it together to discover your Superpower.

This task will help you to unleash the strengths of your team, and if you put people first results will follow!

Big Bold Goals Leadership Experience: Full-Day

““I received a number of compliments from people that night at dinner in terms of the quality of the workshop and... “How much fun painting was!” I got that comment repeatedly and loudly.”

— Holly Montalbano – Global Communications Director INEOS Styrolution

What’s involved?

This full-day highly interactive experience builds on the themes covered in the Half Day Session of The Big Bold Goals Leadership Experience. It is designed to enable your team to co-create a set of leadership behaviours that you collectively agree are important.

Our goal is to create the shifts and transformations in your team - shifts that come from putting people first.  This is all about unleashing the untapped potential of your most important competitive advantage: your people.

We deliver an experience that is fun, engaging and requires your team to collaborate and work together.  You will be guided by our highly experienced facilitators through each step of the way with discussions to explore how you as a team display these behaviours at their very best. We will also provide specific instructions on the materials and set up needed for the day.

How?

Activity

Participants are divided into groups and asked to list and identify their Top 5 behaviours for greatness.  These are then voted on by the group and converted into the five behaviours that will be brought into the Team Charter.

The group determines what each of the 5 behaviours should look like and the activity ends with each group painting the 5 emblems for the Flag Team Charter.  A final debrief and discussion is held on how to make the Top 5 behaviours become part of the company behavioural norm, which is followed by the REVEAL of the five pieces of artwork that will serve as the ‘flag’ Team Charter.

Outcome

You will leave the leadership event with a charter, a manifesto that has been co-created by your team and that can live inside your business – which will also create post-event momentum to build on all the hard work your team has done at your event.

This is for you if …

  • You have big bold goals you want to achieve in your team, business unit, division, business or organisation.

  • You want to energise, inspire and shape your team.

  • You want to create the belief that together you can take on the impossible and win against the odds.

  • You want to equip your team with the skills to thrive and to achieve your big bold goals.

  • You are prepared to invest to create real and sustainable change in terms of how your team works together.

  • You’ve had enough of stale and outdated programmes promising change - but when the pressure dials up, everyone reverts to type.
