Caspar Craven: The Change Ready Workshop

The mindset shift for organisations navigating change.

Right now, every organisation is having the same conversation.

How do we keep up? How do we move fast enough? How do we not get left behind?

AI is transforming industries on a daily basis. Market disruption is coming from directions nobody predicted. The pressure to change and to change fast has never been greater.

And yet. Most transformation initiatives still fail. It’s seldom because the strategy is wrong or because the technology isn’t there. The primary cause is that the people leading the change haven’t changed.

Technology has transformed. The market has transformed. The strategy has been updated. The thinking hasn’t.

What AI has done more than any previous wave of change is to lay bare any thinking and behaviours that aren’t truly cutting edge. Every previous disruption gave leaders time to course-correct, to paper over the cracks. AI has vaporised that margin of time.

The gap between the mindset that got you here and the mindset you need to move forward is now visible almost immediately. It shows up in the energy of your team, in the conversations that aren’t happening and all too often in the quiet draining away of optimism that people stop mentioning because they’ve learned it doesn’t help to say it.

AI didn’t create this problem. What it has done is made it impossible to ignore.

The harsh reality is that 70% of organisational transformations fail.

McKinsey has studied this across decades. The conclusion is always the same: it’s not the strategy that fails. It’s people operating from outdated mindsets, executing against a new vision using old mental models.

There are plenty of contenders for what people think the core problem is.

They are often all true, but they aren’t actually the root problem:

  • It’s not a burnout problem.
    Wellbeing programmes won’t fix it.

  • It’s not a communication problem.
More town halls won’t fix it.

  • It’s not a structure problem.
    Reorganising won’t fix it.

  • It’s not a talent problem.
    Your people are good enough.

Here’s what is actually is:

Until you shift how your people think, nothing else will shift.

  • The silos aren’t a structural problem.
    They’re a thinking problem.

  • The blame culture isn’t a values problem.
    It’s a thinking problem.

  • The resistance to change isn’t a motivation problem.
    It’s a thinking problem.

What Microsoft proved…

When Satya Nadella took over Microsoft, the culture was hierarchical, risk-averse and cutthroat. He didn’t change the strategy first. He first changed how people thought. From we know, we compete to we learn, we collaborate.” Market cap grew from $315 billion to $2.4 trillion. Sevenfold. It wasn’t through a better strategy, it was achieved through a mindset shift.

That’s what’s possible when you prepare your people to think differently before you ask them to act differently.

Introducing Change Ready

Change Ready is a half-day workshop that prepares your teams at all levels with the right mindset for transformation before implementation begins.

This is not motivational ra-ra, and this is not just another training programme. This is fresh thinking that provides the missing piece between your strategy and your execution.

AI is accelerating the pace of change faster than any training programme can keep up with.

Change Ready doesn’t train skills.

It shifts the thinking that every other skill depends on.

The Five Mindset Shifts Your Teams will Make:

  • From Certain to Curious

  • From Yesterday’s Story to Tomorrow’s Possibility

  • From Isolating to Aligned

  • From Avoiding to Experimenting

  • From Surface-Level to Depth

Each shift is explored in real conversations with real colleagues during the workshop itself. It needs more than just an intellectual shift. It needs more than that for it to stick. It’s about your team recognising and feeling the shift.

What Your People Leave with:

  • A precise diagnosis of where their team’s thinking is stuck and why.

  • A shared language for talking about change across the organisation.

  • Permission to experiment, learn and fail without fear.

  • One personal commitment to one specific mindset shift.

  • The first sentence of the conversation they’ve been avoiding.

Grounded in serious research

The Change Ready Workshop draws on the most credible evidence available on human change and organisational transformation. Dweck on mindset, Edmondson on psychological safety, Kegan and Lahey on immunity to change, Hershfield on time perspective, Scharmer on generative listening, Argyris and Schön on double-loop learning. It’s not theory. It’s 25 years of that research applied in rooms with real people across 400 organisations in 38 countries.

“Truly inspiring! The audience was captivated throughout. Post-conference feedback showed it was ranked the best session of the two days. The teams are still positively referencing it to this day!”

How it Scales Across Your Organisation

Change Ready is not a one-off event. It’s a programme designed to roll out across your entire workforce, not just the senior leadership team, but every person who needs to think differently to make your transformation work.

Trained facilitators from within your organisation deliver it at scale. The IP is structured. The methodology is clear. The outcomes are consistent whether delivered by Caspar or by a certified facilitator in any division worldwide.

How it Works

The Programme

Change Ready is a four-hour workshop designed for 15–40 participants. In-person preferred. Facilitator-led. Designed to run across departments, divisions and geographies at scale.

What Happens in the Room?

The session opens by naming the real problem. It’s not about burnout, strategy or communication even though those might look like the issues. It’s about mindset. From there participants work through three core experiences: a deep listening process that creates genuine alignment, a structured future conversation that unlocks ambition before dealing with obstacles, and a resilience and superpowers session that surfaces what each person brings and what they draw on when it gets hard. Every activity is designed so insights walk out of the room as specific commitments, not good intentions.
